Procrastination

Procrastination is a type of behavior common among the students. Students often postpone actions or given task to a later time. Phrases like, “I will do it tomorror”, or “I still have a lot of time”, are examples of delaying work at hand. Psychologists  say that many people in general procrastinate because of the anxiety associated with starting or completing any task or action.

A student may suffer from stress or sense of guilt if he delays the work given to him. He then has to complete the task quickly. As a result, he may suffer from sleepless nights and ultimately has to face the disapproval of others for not fulfilling his commitments. Constant acts of procrastination can also affect a student’s productivity. Work done at eleventh hour may be incomplete, shoddy and even inaccurate.

Therefore, for a student to overcome this problem,it is important for him to strengthen his resolve. He must see his commitment through, develop a better habit of following his decisions and belive in his capabilities and abilities.....
