Procrastination

Procrastination is a type of behavior common among the students. Students often postpone actions or given task to a later time. Phrases like, “I will do it tomorror”, or “I still have a lot of time”, are examples of delaying work at hand. Psychologists  say that many people in general procrastinate because of the anxiety associated with starting or completing any task or action.

A student may suffer from stress or sense of guilt if he delays the work given to him. He then has to complete the task quickly. As a result, he may suffer from sleepless nights and ultimately has to face the disapproval of others for not fulfilling his commitments. Constant acts of procrastination can also affect a student’s productivity. Work done at eleventh hour may be incomplete, shoddy and even inaccurate.

Therefore, for a student to overcome this problem,it is important for him to strengthen his resolve. He must see his commitment through, develop a better habit of following his decisions and belive in his capabilities and abilities.....

The judges comprising Tan Sri Md Raus Charif who sat with Datuk Sulong Matjeraie and Datuk Mohamed Apandi Ali on Wednesday afternoon unanimously allowed the appeal of Joseph Jinam alias Andrew Lidok and Eu Nyok Kon.
The two were sentenced to two years’ imprisonment and fined RM225,000 each after being found guilty of a graft charge about four years ago.
They appealed to the High Court whereupon the sentence was affirmed but the fine reduced to RM10,000 each in default six months in jail.
